Chemical dosing in mineral processing

Ensure chemical dosing accuracy and reliability

Meeting the challenges of safe and reliable chemical dosing

Chemicals used in mineral processing are expensive and transportation to remote sites can be costly. Minimizing risk of chemical spillage into the environment is a critical factor.

Our peristaltic pumps help mineral processing engineers meet challenges in their processes. With no valves, vanes or impellers, our pumps have advantages over other pump types.

Peristaltic pumps for accurate chemical dosing

For flows up to 600 L/hr, Qdos chemical dosing pumps have a high turndown ratio and are extremely accurate to ensure the optimum amount of chemical is dosed. For higher flow rates, Bredel hose pumps, provide optimum chemical dosing.

  • Less than 1% flow variation over the pumps working life, irrespective of pressure
  • The hose or tube is the only pump component to come into contact with the chemical
  • Changing a Bredel hose or a Qdos pumphead can be performed in-situ with no special tools or skills required

Chemically resistant, kink-resistant hoses for safe chemical transfer

Transfer hoses must be dragged between connection points, such as tankers. This means hoses must be robust, kink-proof and lightweight. They must be capable of safely handling hazardous and corrosive chemicals.

Our Aflex PTFE-lined hoses offer excellent chemical resistance. The lightweight, smoothbore construction ensures clean, fast performance and resistant to high pressures and temperatures up to 260C.
