Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) has once again extended its global reach in the Latin America region with the opening of a direct sales operation in Colombia. WMFTS will now have direct operations in the top five economies in the region.
As one of the most industrially diverse economies in Latin America, with four major industrial centers: Bogota, Medellin, Cali, and Barranquilla; Colombia presents an exciting growth opportunity to WMFTS. As the world leader in niche peristaltic and sinusoidal pumps and associated fluid path technologies, WMFTS will be uniquely placed to support Colombia’s main industries which include textiles, chemical, packaging and metals/mineral.
Watson-Marlow Colombia SAS, which is based in the city of Cali, will commence direct sales in early May. The new office – which is shared with parent company Spirax Group - will be staffed by a team of specialists who will provide a range of solutions from the Company’s portfolio. Sergio Castellanos will head up the office in the role of Colombia General Manager. He joins WMFTS after nine years with Spirax Colombia, where he was a key member of its sales team.
Renata Campos Latin American Regional Manager at Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions comments:
“At WMFTS, we continue to build on our commitment to provide global support and local solutions. We are very pleased to have our own office in Colombia – as it means we now we have direct presence in the top five economies in the Latin American region. The market here is extremely dynamic; particularly in textiles, chemical, packaging and metals/mineral sectors. These are industries where our niche peristaltic and sinusoidal pumps and associated fluid path solutions can deliver significant benefits over alternative technologies.”
Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions has a global network of operations including ten factories and 37 direct sales offices. The Company is part of the Spirax Group and is headquartered in Falmouth, UK.
