FlexFeed 15/20

FF15 is a rotary vial/bottle handling system designed for use with Flexicon’s filling systems. It can deliver up to 2,000 fills per hour. At the same time FF15 provides a consistent production quality that is unobtainable when using a manual or semi-automatic system. Even unstable vials/bottles can be filled by FF15 as the speed by which the vials/bottles are presented at the filling needle is fully adjustable. Liquids can be filled automatically in volumes from 0.1 ml to approximately 100 ml.

FlexFeed 20 (FF20) is a part of a modular automatic filling system for bottle/vials sizes from 12 mm/0.47” up to 78 mm/3.07” in diameter delivering maximum process flexibility. Used in conjuction with a Flexicon peristaltic filler liquids can be filled very accurately in volumes from micro volumes to more than 500 ml. The FF20 can be set-up in less than two minutes, with no tools, format parts or special skills required. The system is very easy to use thanks to an intuitive, icon-based HMI. With the HMI being on the front of the unit, settings can easily be adjusted and at the same time the risk of operators contaminating open bottles is prevented.

The speed at which the vials/bottles are presented at the filling needle in a FlexFeed15 or FlexFeed20 is fully adjustable, allowing lightweight vials or bottles to be filled.

Used in conjunction with a Flexicon peristaltic filler and one of our crimp or screw capping machines, the FlexFeed15 or FlexFeed20 provides a simple and very flexible means of production and customers can achieve a fast return on investment.

As the need for more automation grows, Flexicon’s product line meets the needs of flexible filling of small batches in R&D, contract filling and diagnostics operations, where there are many different sizes of bottles or vials.

Depending on the space available at the customer’s site and the desired flow of bottles, the FlexFeed15 can be supplied in three different configurations. - a front infeed tray, a side infeed tray or without an infeed tray. Each option has its own part number, stated in the brochure. On the FlexFeed20, the infeed tray for bottles/vials can be moved from the front to the side of the system.
